The Stranger's inhabitants were an unnamed species native to a terrestrial moon orbiting a gas giant in a nearby solar system. They built the Stranger after receiving a signal from the Eye of the Universe. The inhabitants of the Stranger resembled bipedal birds with antlers on their heads.
