Qui-Gon Jinn is a fictional character in the Star Wars saga, portrayed by Liam Neeson in the 1999 film Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon is a major character in the first episode of the prequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. He is a wise and powerful Jedi Master and the mentor of Obi-Wan Kenobi and would even later go on to become the first mentor of Anakin Skywalker.
