Guts is the main protagonists of the original 1997 Anime series Berserk, throughout his life he was a lone wonderer who stumbled across the mercenary group the band of the hawk with their leader Griffith winning a fighting bet to have him as his soldier. Afterwards Guts becomes Griffiths right hand man for several years, encountering many strong enemies that opposed Midland. After the band of the hawk is victorious for Midland, Guts decides to leave but not without Griffith being defeated by him
