General Motors recalled about 1,500 of its 2007 Chevrolet Aveo sedan cars in the United Arab Emirates due to a defect in the fuel line that could potentially cause the vehicle to go in flames in the event of a crash. The recall decision was confirmed by the local agent of General Motors Company in the UAE, GM Overseas Distribution Corp and the announcement was made by UAE’s Director of the Ministry of Economy’s Consumer Protection Unit, Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi.
