Android 9 (人造人間9号, Jinzōningen Kyu-Gō, Lit. "Artificial Human No. 9") is a fully artificial android model constructed by Dr. Gero. Two incarnations of Android 9 appear across different media: Iyo-ku-gō in Dragon Ball SD and Project: Red in Dragon Ball Online. The Android 9 in SD: Iyo-ku-gō's name is a play on the name of the V-Jump Editor-in-Chief's name.
