Behind him, however, there’s mayhem, with only three points, or one win, separating 2nd place Magnus Carlsen from 10th place Levon Aronian. Only the Top 8 qualify, with Vincent Keymer and Eric Hansen, who beat Magnus, still in that pack with three games to go. It can change fast, as Vladislav Artemiev showed on Day 3, when he won three games and climbed from 10th to 3rd.
